Students receive both whole group and small group instruction to develop and master the skills and tools they need to be successful lifelong readers and writers. The kindergarten and first grade instructional program is based on a deep study of phonics and whole language, guided by the Benchmark Workshop program. Their curricular choices are based on sound educational theories of child development and learning, promoting reading and math readiness, emerging language skills, and fine and gross motor skills. K3-K4 teachers use multiple curriculum elements to reach higher, grow stronger and educate the whole child in a spiritual environment.
